You love it or you love to hate it, cilantro is a flavor superstar in many cuisines, but most famously used in Mexican and Southeast Asian dishes. Add it to sauces, marinades, soups or salads.

1 teaspoon of dry cilantro = 2 teaspoons of fresh cilantro leaves

How we like it:

Dry cilantro is a great substitute for the fresh herb, but unlike the fresh version, its pungent aroma is considerably muted. The mild flavor of dried cilantro might be a perfect solution for recipes that call for fresh herb and dinner guests, that dislike the strong aroma. Dried cilantro’s flavor can add a subtle herbaceous quality to some dishes without the sharper notes.
