Garlic ground


Ground garlic can be used to season mushroom dishes, meat, venison, fish and sauces. It pairs well with the flavor of cheese, yogurt and bread.

Substitute 1/2 teaspoon for every fresh clove of fresh garlic.

Beyond flavor:

Antiseptic rinse: Garlic powder can be added to boiling water to make an antiseptic to treat wounds. Enzymes in garlic help prevent infection. Simply add 2/3 tablespoon powdered garlic per cup of boiling water to dissolve; then let the solution cool. Apply to the wound with a cotton ball. Store the solution in a lidded container in the refrigerator.
